Custom Diapers - Closure Choices

Closure Choices for Custom Diapers

Style and Color Choices

Snaps or touchtape? Touchtape or snaps? We sometimes have a hard time choosing between snaps and touchtape closures when making diapers for our own children because we love them both so much!

Snaps look so professional, but can be a challenge for older siblings, grandparents and babysitters to fit correctly. Many times we've come home to find one of the boys' diapers was being held on only by his wool pants because big sister snapped the diaper on too loosely. Thank heavens for wool pants!

Touchtape is most like the closures on disposable diapers so it's easier for caregivers not familiar with cloth diapers to use. Touchtape has a strong hold so diapers stay on, even through the "I want to be naked" stage. If you can't decide between snaps and touchtape, or don't see the color you'd like, let us know and we'll do our best to answer your questions and/or order the color you want!

Custom Diaper Closures - Snaps

Snaps are a super choice for custom diapers because they allow you to get the perfect fit for your child by adjusting the waist and leg settings independently. Our custom diapers are made with only professional grade resin snaps that will withstand everyday use and laundering at high temperatures. However, these snaps weren't made to withstand boiling, so please don't use our diapers to make "diaper soup"!

Custom Diaper Closure - Touchtape

Touchtape is a great choice for extra trimness around the waist of your custom diapers. We cover the front hook tab with the same fabric as the diaper inner, then stitch it to the edges of the front panel where it holds the front panel close to the diaper for an ultra-trim fit. Touchtape provides a stronger hold, lasts longer, and comes in more fun colors than other hook and loop closure systems. We love touchtape for it's strong hold and ease of use.
